Create a 8" x 8" glass charcuterie board ready to serve your favorite crackers and cheese. Learn the basics of fusing, how to cut sheet glass, and add color and design with frit and stringers to decorate and make a unique board you'll want to use for year to come. Charcuterie not included.

2 Hour Workshop

Create a stained glass sun catcher or fuse a glass dish with your friends and family. You choose your adventure!

Choose to create a stained glass suncatcher or design and fuse your own glass platters!

Stained Glass Suncatcher

Learn to design and assemble a decorative stained glass suncatcher. Choose from the following designs: 

  • Star of David or Hamsa
  • Bird or Butterfly 
  • Flower or Cactus

Fused Glass Platter

Using colorful flat sheet glass, colored glass granules, and thin glass rods, learn to cut and assemble glass while it is cold. Then fuse your design in the kiln to create your own design! Sizes vary from a 7" x 12", 10" x 10", 8" x 8", and 9" round.

Our introductory hands-on pod workshops are designed for 2–5 friends and family members. You will work in a small group with only those people in your pod who you’ve invited to this class. You will receive guided instruction from a local teaching artist to help you create your own artwork.

This is a 4-hour workshop. Ages 14+. 2-5 people. Each person will make 1 item.

4 Hour Workshop

Learn basic fusing techniques with your friends and family.

This workshop is great introduction to the world of fusing. Learn how to cut glass and delve into a variety of materials and the effects they create.

Using colorful flat sheet glass, colored glass granules, and thin glass rods, learn to cut and assemble glass while it is cold then fuse it in the kiln to create your own designs such as:

  • Charcuterie Plate
  • Seder Plate
  • Slumped Dish
  • Garden Stake
  • Draped Candle Holder

Our introductory hands-on pod workshops are new and specially designed for 2–5 friends and family members. You will work in a small group with only those people in your pod who you’ve invited to this class.

Learn how to sculpt molten glass with your friends and family.

In this hot activity for two or three people, learn how to gather molten glass from a 2,100°F furnace and sculpt it into a solid shape such as:

  • Egg

  • Round Orb
  • Pumpkin

This introductory hands-on pod workshop is specially designed for 2 people at the base price of $260.00, and can accommodate a third person for an additional $130.00. In this workshop, you will receive guided instruction from a local teaching artist to help you create your own sculpted glass work of art.

Due to the physical demands and hands-on nature of hot glass sculpting and blowing workshops, maintaining six feet of social distance is not possible for our instructors during these classes. Instructors will be equipped with N95 or equivalent level masks to protect themselves and our guests during these interactions. Sanitized gloves and safety glasses will be provided for all students.

This is a 1.5-hour experience for 2-3 people. You will make 2 of the same item. Ages 10+.

1 Hour Workshop

Learn all about stained glass with your friends and family.

You’ve seen beautiful stained glass in homes, churches, and contemporary buildings. Now learn to design and assemble your own stained glass. Choose between creating a dragonfly, flower garden stake, or birthday box.

Dragonfly
Use cutting tools to cut and shape your dragonfly wings. Then wrap the wings and your dragonfly body in lead came and attach your creation with solder. Each person will make 1 dragonfly.

Flower Garden Stake
Explore stained glass techniques while working with glass cabochons and lead came to create a customized glass flower garden stake. Garden stakes are perfect to adorn a potted plant or add a burst of fun to your outdoor garden. Each person will make 1 garden stake.

Gift Box
Using pre-cut glass you will foil and solder together a 3-D glass box that will be illuminated with light and adorned with a bow. This is a present you will enjoy for many celebrations. Each person will make 1 gift box.

Learn to make glass pendants with a torch and stained glass techniques in this combo class for teens.

Using an oxygen/propane torch in the flame shop, learn to melt a solid rod of glass using gravity, tools and a steady hand to manipulate the molten glass into personalized glass pendants. Use a variety of colored frit (tiny bits of glass color) to create swirls, dots and explosions of color! Glass loops will be added to finish off your new pendant.

In the kiln studio, learn the basics of stained glass from pattern to finished project. Learn how to use cutting tools and grinders to shape sheet glass, how to solder glass creations together to make an assortment of winged creatures, crawly insects and floral garden stakes.

Mix and match this 1-day class with any of the other three options in this Mini Teen Summer Camp series.

Learn to sand cast and draw with molten glass and make mosaics in this combo class for teens.

In the hot shop, use molten glass to create sand castings and unique burn drawings. Learn to cast molten hot glass from the 2,000-degree furnace into sand relief molds to make three-dimensional sculptures and use hot glass and metal to create burned imagery on paper and wood.

Learn the ancient and intricate art of glass mosaics. Design a pattern or image with sheet glass on a wooden backing to create a stunning wall piece. Learn the basics of mosaic design, glass cutting, layout and grouting.

Mix and match this 1-day class with any of the other three options in this Mini Teen Summer Camp series.

Full Day Workshop

Learn fusing and flameworking basic techniques in this combo class for teens.

Using a solid rod of glass, an oxygen/propane torch and a steady hand, learn to apply color and manipulate molten glass using gravity and a few tools in the flame shop. Create up to five magnets from rods of clear glass and bits of colorful glass. Learn a number of techniques for shaping and personalizing the magnets.

In the kiln shop, cut and combine brilliantly colored pieces of sheet glass, glass granules and thin glass strands to create luminous suncatchers, magnets and functional dishes. Learn the basics of glass fusing and make a number of decorative and functional glass objects.

Mix and match this 1-day class with any of the other three options in this Mini Teen Summer Camp series.

Learn to blow glass at the 2,000-degree furnace. Experiment with molten glass, work with glass color and compressed air to inflate glass into different shapes and patterns.

In the cold shop, learn to use the state-of-the-art equipment and machinery to emboss glass in its solid state. Personalize your provided glasses using sandblasting, glass carving, etching, polishing, and dremeling techniques.

Explore the use of colorful sheet glass, glass stringers (thin, colored rods), and frit (colored glass granules) to produce patterns and designs to adorn your candle votives. After tack fusing your creation, we will harness gravity in the kiln, draping it over a steel mold, the glass takes on the properties of fabric resulting in a lovely set of handkerchief votive candle holders.

2 Hour Workshop

Cut glass sheets into smaller geometric shapes and use these pieces, along with frit (colored glass granules) and stringers (thin, colored glass rods), to design a spectacular pattern. After the initial full fuse, we will fire your tile a second time, slumping it into a form and turning it into a functional dish.

Create a 3D illuminated glass box that looks like wrapped gift. Using pre-cut class, learn how to  assemble stained glass in the Tiffany style method to create a unique 3D piece.  Then get a lesson in how to tie the perfect bow to adorn your creations. These make a great holiday decoration and are so adorable you may choose to leave them out year round.
