Instructor Biography
Claire Hall is a UK artist primarily working in glass. She obtained an Honors Degree in Fine Art at Bristol University and furthered her education with a PGCE from Leeds University. She is renown throughout the glass community, regularly teaching her innovative fusing techniques across the UK and Europe.
Her inspiration is drawn from nature, a love of the landscape and coastal area in which she lives. Glass sculpture and installation works explore themes around personal emotion, the fragility of the mind and finding peace through process. They give glimpses of edge lands, metaphorical inter tidal zones and boundaries that are perilous to cross.
Her work was selected for the prestigious British Glass Biennale in 2019 and subsequently purchased by the Imagine Museum in Florida for their permanent collection. Her contemporary glass jewelry is exhibited in galleries throughout the UK.
