Pittsburgh Glass Center is a non-profit school, gallery and studio. Although we fund approximately 50% of our operations through earned revenue, we still rely on donations from people like you to continue serving the community through exhibitions, classes and workshops, and state-of-the-art studios and equipment. Here are a few of the reasons people support us:
Free Every Day - We open our doors to the community for free seven days a week to experience contemporary glass art.
Uniqueness – PGC is the only public access organization dedicated to glass art in the region.
Fun & Memorable - PGC strives to offer a one-of-a-kind memorable experience for everyone who walks in our doors.
Excellent & Accessible Instruction – PGC provides opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to try glass making and has a talented group of skilled instructors who make the process enjoyable and fun.

Just like glassblowing, it takes a team effort to make Pittsburgh Glass Center
the extraordinary place that it has become.
Heather McElwee and Chris Clarke were some of the first artists to show up and help get the doors open, fire up the furnace, and teach the first classes – and they’re still here leading the team! Since opening, more than 50 artists from all over the country have moved to Pittsburgh for the glass center.
PGC isn’t just the building or the equipment that it has – it’s the people who make you feel welcome as soon as you step foot inside, who make you feel like a part of a community, and who have cultivated a culture where people from all different walks of life can work together and thrive.
It’s the people like YOU – our supporters, artists, and friends – who make the PGC community what it is today.
Donate today so that Pittsburgh Glass Center may continue for the next 20 years and beyond.
Thank you for your support through the years.
