After learning the basics of stained glass construction in our introductory and/or intermediate stained glass courses we invite you to continue the fun in open projects. Challenge yourself with a more complicated pattern or enjoy the afternoon practicing your skills while making something pretty. This is a great course for those who want to continue to explore the art of stained glass with instruction and guidance while working to their own skill level. Students will be able to choose their own pattern though the size will be no larger than 16"x18”.
Introduction to Stained Glass or 24 hours of stained glass experience with instructor permission is required.
Class tuition includes 1 session of open-studio time per student to be used during the 8-week course period if needed to complete your project. This will help you become familiar with the studio itself and learn the process of studio rental beyond class hours. Projects are designed to be completed within the class time allotted; therefore, any studio time outside of class will need to be paid for as a studio rental.
COVID-19 CLASS POLICY The health and safety of our students and instructors is still our most important priority. High touch surfaces and equipment are cleaned after every class and multiple times a day. Due to the nature of the glass making process, every studio in the building has state-of-the-art ventilation. Masks are required for all visitors in all indoor public spaces. Beginning September 22, all individuals over the age of 12 who are taking a class or workshop must be vaccinated except for people with a medical condition or closely held religious belief that prevents vaccination. Guests who fall into one of these exemption categories must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the class/workshop start time.
