I can remember as a small child realizing the power and joy of creating. From the feeling of clay between my fingers, to the flow of paint off my brush, to the challenge and thrill of molten glass, that passion has been an incredible journey.  A path to share my dreams and love in such a tangible and beautiful way.  It is my pleasure and responsibility to pass on my knowledge and creative processes to help others find the path to their own creative voices.

Debbie has been creating with glass for over 30 years, 20 of them owning and operating a custom stained, etched, and fused glass studio in Las Vegas, NV. She moved to the Oregon coast to continue her quest for hot glass. Debbie has won numerous awards and has been included in many art books, magazines, and publications for her glass art.

She has been teaching glass art for over 30 years, including lampwork, fused, etched, and blown glass. She creates one-of-a-kind stained glass and Tiffany-style lamps too. Her glass fish and blown seashells are collected worldwide. She teaches private classes in all phases of art glass nationwide as well as in her studio.

Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Dates:
Tuition $950.00
Instructor: Deb Crowley

Dive into the world of larger marine creatures in this 5th addition to Deb Crowley’s Flameworking Aquatics series with borosilicate glass. Start with creating a small standing harbor seal, then move on to a dolphin on a simple wave, a shark, an orca, and a humpback whale with some larger types of flora/water wisps to complete your aquatic scenes.

Please bring several wood burls or driftwood bases that can be easily drilled out in class to display your work. No rocks please. We will be making a new scene each day. These are perfect small, affordable items to add to your body of work for shows and galleries.

Students should understand basic borosilicate terms, and be able to complete items at a reasonable pace throughout the class time.
