Get started on creating your own line of glass jewelry. Over the course of the 8 weeks, you’ll learn how to melt and manipulate hard (Borosilicate) glass with a torch into beautiful unique pieces. You’ll use a variety of tools and learn how to use gravity to shape and form glass with a variety of flameworking techniques. Build upon your skills throughout the course and add compressions, dot stacks, and wrap and rakes to your repertoire. Suitable for all levels: experienced pendant makers will focus on more advanced decorative techniques. Class tuition includes 2 hours of open-studio time to be used during the 8-week course period. COVID-19 CLASS POLICY The health and safety of our students and instructors is still our most important priority. High touch surfaces and equipment are cleaned after every class and multiple times a day. Due to the nature of the glass making process, every studio in the building has state-of-the-art ventilation. Masks are required for all visitors in all indoor public spaces. Beginning September 22, all individuals over the age of 12 who are taking a class or workshop must be vaccinated except for people with a medical condition or closely held religious belief that prevents vaccination. Guests who fall into one of these exemption categories must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the class/workshop start time.
