Instructor Biography

George Kennard

George Kennard is a Hot Glass Mobile Team Leader for the Corning Museum of glass. Known for making large scale pieces and working with glass teams all over the world. Also know for being able to make anything. Has taught at Pilchuck Glass School, Penland School of Crafts and Salem Community College. 

Sally Prasch

Sally Prasch works both as a scientific and artistic glassblower. Started working with glass in 1970 with Lloyd Moore. Has taught at Pilchuck Glass School, Penland School of Crafts and Salem Community College as well as many schools outside the US. Her work is shown internationally.

Come and have some fun with George and Sally. We will be combining lampworking and furnace glass techniques all with COE 96 glass. Start with making items on the torch that will be incorporated with furnace glassblowing and then possibly add more lampworked glass to the piece. Bring ideas, the possibilities are endless and a whole lot of fun.
