"Color is the language I speak best." -Vera Neumann

Drue Miller is a Pittsburgh-based glass artist and jewelry designer. She teaches fusing, stained glass and mosaic workshops at PGC. She is fascinated by the interplay between light and color and loves exploring the dramatic possibilities glass offers. She is heavily influenced by mid-century designs, from genie bottles and faceted glass church windows to richly colored textiles by Marimekko and Vera. Her jewelry line "Iris Fire Glass" is named after the Greek goddess of the rainbow and incorporates vibrant, color-shifting dichroic glass.

Discover a rainbow of options and sparkle with color-shifting dichroic glass. Learn how to make sparkling fused glass pendants or earrings using a variety of techniques in this 2-part workshop. On day one, you’ll explore this shimmering material, cut, design, layer, and fuse it together in the kiln. On day two, you’ll be amazed at how the material reacts in the kiln, finish any textural firings, and turn your creations into wearable works of art.  Some experience and prior glass knowledge are helpful. At a minimum, a 2-hour fusing workshop is required.
