Currently residing and working in Denver Colorado, Andrew Certo has been flameworking since 2007. Andrew grew up in Pittsburgh PA, went to Tyler School of Art and graduated with a BFA in glass in 2014. Since then he has taught and assisted dozens of classes at Pilchuck, Penland, Pittsburgh Glass Center, his home studio, and numerous private studios around the country. His work is notably unique, pushing flameworking in new directions with a focus on experimentation.

In this class we will focus on the marble; a timeless object that encapsulates pattern and color in glass. We will cover lenses, pattern, color, principles, shaping, magnification, negative space, cleanliness, and much more.

As long as you are comfortable on the torch, all levels are welcome from intermediate to advanced.
