Instructor Biography
Jodie McDougall first started melting glass when she wanted interesting eyeballs for a koi fish Tiffany style lamp she was creating. She turned on the torch and never looked back. Her passion for cane work started very early on in her lampworking obsession. She decided to close her massage practice of 15 years and dedicate her life to the exploration and creation of Murrine. A hobby in the fiber arts lead her away from making glass beads to another passion making glass buttons. The buttons became the perfect platform to showcase her cane work. She delights in traveling and teaching about the intricate pictures in glass. Her work is in museums and private collections around the world.
